As a Physical Fitness Specialist major at College, and a nutritional counselor for my Army National Guard unit, one would say I have always had a peeked interest in the fitness/nutrition field.  It was during my Internship at a Sports Training Clinic which used Functional Training to better condition the young athletes that I fell in love with the idea of
“Contrology” (Joseph Pilates original name for this unique method of movement) While attending College I met my husband who brought me back to his home in Nassau, Bahamas.   Once at this Tropical Paradise, I longed to
further my education in the Pilates field.  I spent the following 3 years as an Apprentice working side-by-side with a STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer mastering the Pilates method of movement at a STOTT PILATES ® Education Centre here in Nassau.  It was at this Education Centre where I deepened my love and knowledge of Pilates and will continue to share this passion with all of my clients as they grow and change within themselves.

My first career began in a Dental Office; early on I experienced pain from long hours hunched over my clients with incorrect posture. I quickly became interested in Pilates as a way to correct it. As the amount of pain-free
workdays increased so did my interest in Pilates. I moved from Vancouver, Canada to Nassau, Bahamas to endure an intensive instructor training program at Pilates Bahamas, a STOTT PILATES®Facility, where I worked as an apprentice to my Instructor Trainer. Later I moved to Singapore to work at an internationally
renowned studio where I furthered my training to an advanced  level.   Working closely with my instructor trainer and being able to work in different areas of the world exposed me to a diverse set of clients of different fitness levels, with different fitness goals. I am dedicated to helping my clients obtain better posture by creating body awareness and repairing muscle imbalances. I believe strongly in Pilates as a way to overcome  certain injuries. I moved back to the Bahamas in December 2011 to continue work in the place where I began my Pilates  career.

After completing my culinary degree at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, I returned home to find employment in pastry arts.  Due to the scarcity of job options at that time, I worked as a fitness trainer at The One & Only Ocean Club during which time I obtained my certification as an ACE certified personal trainer.  While training with these exclusive international clients I realized the need to expand my fitness knowledge in the Pilates method.  I then registered with the STOTT PILATES LTC in Nassau, Bahamas and found my love for Pilates.  With my background in personal training and my new love of Pilates, I am able to teach classes incorporating body awareness, proper alignment and muscular control with the intensity of a good cardiovascular and strength training workout.
